Sweden’s THE HIVES Deliver at Santa Ana’s Observatory

Last Thursday night was awesome at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. The Hives surprised everyone by headlining a show while on tour with the Foo Fighters, and it was a blast!

When we got there, the excitement was real; the line was long, and people were ready to have a great time.

When The Hives finally took the stage, the crowd went wild. They looked super sharp in their tuxedo outfits, and frontman Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist wasted no time in getting the audience involved. He was all over the stage, jumping around and getting everyone hyped up.

They kicked off the night with “Hate to Say I Told You So,” and the energy in the room went through the roof. Every song just kept the crowd more and more engaged. Classics like “Tick Tick Boom” and “Main Offender” had everyone singing along, and it felt like one big party. You could see smiles all around, and it was clear everyone was having a good time together.

Musically, they were tight. The guitars were loud and raw, and the rhythm section was locked in. You could tell they were having fun, which made the performance even better. The whole vibe was great, and it felt like everyone was connected.

The lighting added a lot to the experience, matching the band’s energy perfectly. Howlin’ Pelle encouraged us to jump, clap, and join in, and we happily did!

As the night went on, it was clear that this was more than just a concert; it felt like a celebration. They ended the night with a bang during the encore, leaving us all buzzing as we walked out. It was one of those concerts you don’t forget – a reminder of how live music can bring people together.

The Hives knocked it out, proving once again why they are legends in the rock scene.

This was one for the books, and I can’t wait to see them again!
