Halestorm & I, Prevail – Summer 2024 North American Tour hits Dallas, TX!

August 11th, Dallas, TX – Fit For A King and Hollywood Undead opened up the show for I Prevail and Halestorm at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.

Fit for a King, formed in 2007, are a Dallas native metalcore band who ripped through their set with heart and grit.

The band is currently formed by Ryan Kirby on lead vox, Bobby Lynge on guitar, Trey Ceyala on drums, Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary on bass and Daniel Gailey on guitar. These boys gave straight energy through their entire set despite it being 199 degrees out in Texas. Check out their latest single “Technium”, featuring Landon Tewers of The Plot In You.

Hollywood Undead put on a killer show following FFAK. I started following this band way back in 2008 when they released their album “Swan Songs” and was pleasantly surprised when they pulled out “Everywhere I Go”. Another treat from the band was a cover of “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. One day I’ll hear my boys play “This Love, This Hate”.

Up next was I Prevail! These guys put out their first album back in 2014 rounding it out with a hardcore cover of Taylor Swifts “Blank Space” which gained them a huge following.

The band has 5 albums and several singles under their collective belt. For this show they played a 15-song setlist full of songs from their entire catalog. They opened with 0:00 as well as a few other tracks from their latest album TRUE POWER released in 2022. Next up was “Blank Space” which went crazy with the crowd screaming along followed by 2023 single “Deep End.”

Ending the set with “Gasoline” was so good I wish this venue had been GA so there could have been a mosh pit.

Halestorm closed the night out with an enormous bang. With a massive song like “I Miss The Misery,” it’s either going to be the opener or the closer and Halestorm went with opener. As a photographer, this was a nightmare as I wanted to watch and sing and headbang with the masses! However, I would love to give a huge shoutout to Lzzy Hale for being a woman for the photographers because she was doing her best to connect and make sure each of us got a good shot, looking into the lens and staying still as long as possible even though there were about 12 or so of us in the pit!

The band played a 13-song set full of bangers from their catalog. There were many shouts in the audience leading up to fan favorite “I Get Off.” There was a sick drum solo about halfway through the set followed by a cover of “can u see me in the dark?” with I Prevail vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe. A few more songs were played and Halestorm ended the evening on “The Steeple” from 2022 album Back From The Dead.
