Punk Legends Unite! Goldfinger’s SOLD OUT Show At House of Blues In Anaheim

February 28, 2025 – This was my second time seeing Goldfinger live, and I couldn’t have been happier to cover the show for ZRockR Magazine. The House of Blues Anaheim was buzzing with energy as fans gathered for an incredible night of punk rock featuring Goldfinger, The Ataris, Mad Caddies, and Slick Shoes.

Slick Shoes kicked off the night, energizing the crowd with their fast-paced skate punk tunes. Songs like “Selfish” and “Sleepwalking” had fans jumping and singing along, setting a lively tone for the evening.

Next up, Mad Caddies brought their signature ska-punk sound, and the room was filled with joy as they played upbeat tracks like “Road Rash” and “Monkeys.” The brass instruments added a festive flair, making it impossible not to dance along.

The Ataris took the stage next, and their heartfelt connection with the audience was clear. They played beloved songs like “San Dimas High School Football Rules,” evoking a sense of nostalgia that had everyone singing along and reminiscing.

Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived as Goldfinger took the stage. The excitement in the crowd hit its peak with their opening song “Get Up.” The setlist was packed with fan favorites like “Counting the Days” and “Wallflower.” Every song made the audience cheer even louder, and the sense of community was palpable.

A standout moment was their cover of “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure, which brought back great memories for many fans. They even invited special guests Spencer from Ice Nine Kills and El Jefe from NOFX to join them for “Open Your Eyes,” adding to the excitement of the performance.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the night was when Goldfinger invited kids from the crowd on stage for “Mable.” It was a beautiful reminder of the band’s connection to their fans. When they launched into “Superman,” the entire venue sang together, creating an unforgettable moment of unity.

For the encore, Goldfinger surprised everyone with a cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” featuring actor Joe Manganiello. The crowd went wild! They kept the good times rolling with “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” and then wrapped up the night with “20¢ Goodbye,” “Miles Away,” and the iconic “99 Red Balloons.”

As I reflected on the night while leaving the venue, it struck me how special this concert was—not just for the music, but for the connections made and the memories shared. Covering this show for ZRockR Magazine was a true honor, and I’m grateful to have experienced such a fantastic night of live music.
