I caught his show last weekend at The Virgin Hotel, and honestly, it felt like getting hit in the chest with nostalgia, angst, and a ton of crowd energy… in the best way possible.

From the jump, the energy was electric. As soon as he bursted out onto the stage and launched into “Burn,” the whole place lit up. Everyone was singing every word like it was therapy — and maybe it kind of was.

What’s cool about BoyWithUke is that he doesn’t need a flashy setup or crazy effects to hold your attention. While his stage production was phenomenal, it’s just him, his band, some slick production, and lyrics that hit way too close to home. Tracks like “IDGAF” and “Toxic” had the crowd jumping, but he also slowed things down in a few moments that got really personal. Those stripped-back parts? Straight goosebumps.
