Check out Cynthia’s interview with Spike HERE!

December 4, 2025 – It seldom snows in Vegas, but we were still feeling festive as Greg Antista and the Lonely Streets took the stage at Brooklyn Bowl on December 4th. They formed in 2018, but have been friends for decades. They brought the energy, style, and set the vibe for the night. Their rendition of “Please Come Home for Christmas” rocked!

Next up, The Aggrolites made us bob our heads to “Don’t Let Me Down” and sing along to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. They even brought out a guest, Tony Turrietta, for a cover of “Take ‘em All.” The entire band is fun to watch. Specifically, Chris Brennan’s jumps, Krees Borbon’s funky drum style, and Jesse Wagner’s vocal energy make for a good time.

By the time Spike and the Gimme Gimmes came out, the crowd was really vibing. This is only my second time seeing them live (they played Brooklyn Bowl last year around this time), but they are a band that brings it strong every single time. Some of my favorites were “Jolene”, “Wild World”, “Karma Chameleon”, “Julio”, “Dancing Queen”, and “Rocket Man.” They sprinkled in Christmas songs throughout the set, including “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”, “Feliz Navidad”, and of course, their latest single, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. Sometimes, I spend the ride home after a show feeling melancholy about a song that wasn’t played, but the Gimme Gimmes repertoire is so impressive that I will never do that after one of their shows, regardless of what they end up leaving off the setlist.

This show had it all–rock, ska, and punk, all wrapped up in a Christmas bow. The stage decor was over-the-top with an inflatable Rudolph, two giant Nutcrackers (one with lop-sided googly eyes and one clearly high), pink Christmas trees, and glistening lights–everything you’d expect from Spike and the Gimme Gimmes. A rockin’ good time was had by all!
