On Friday, December 5, 2025 (and the following day) Canadian hardcore punk band S.N.F.U. took over the Punk Rock Museum in the heart of Las Vegas. This takeover featured a special tour of pieces in the building, as well as a performance in the Pennywise Garage and a Q&A setup where the band talked about their history.
Traffic was a nightmare this day, so I unfortunately missed the performance in the Pennywise Garage- but I did get the pleasure of seeing Brent and Mark Belke talk to an intimate crowd about the display set up on the upper floor, as well as the Q&A, which I also found very interesting. S.N.F.U. are before my time, so I admittedly don’t know too much of their background, but I very much enjoyed listening to the guys talk to the fans who are- some of whom traveled internationally for this special event! Pretty fucking cool. A story that stuck out to me was about New York photographer Diane Arbus, who the band had tried relentlessly to get a photo of hers licensed to no avail. Her estate doesn’t allow that type of usage so they’d have to go a different route with design and imagery.
At this event, SNFU were promoting the special vinyl re-release of the 1985 record, “…And No One Else Wanted to Play.” This release features a bunch of live and remastered tracks. The deluxe versions are sold out, but they also include a cool coffee table photo book with unreleased photos, interviews, and more. Fans can head on over to https://trustrecords.com/ to check out the goodies that are still available! There’s still standard vinyls and other S.N.F.U. merch!
