Texas is a hub of some of the top metal, punk, and rock tours of the year, but your average punk band is not going to come close to bringing the same kind of mighty movement as the almighty DROPKICK MURPHYS will. That’s right, my friends, Dropkick is dropping back into the Lone Star State for the first time in a bit, and they’re bringing the ruckus as they kick off the “FOR THE PEOPLE…IN THE PIT St. Patrick’s Day Tour 2026”. Lucky for our Texas friends, they’ll be stopping in Austin at ACL LIve at The Moody Theater on February 19th. No need to say that we here at ZRockR Magazine are thrilled that they’ll be returning the this side of the Texan expanse.
Other than just bringing the smash hits, Dropkick Murphys will be accompanied by “dirty reggae” band, THE AGGROLITES – a unique, funky, and downright groovy band of storytellers. The Aggrolites have been playing their “true ska” sound for over twenty years now, and helping keep the flavors of punk and its genre-allies relevant and growing.
And opening the show is a third and shade of punk rock shenanigans, the notorious rising star of hardcore music that could only be the Bostonian beatdown crew in HAYWIRE. Following a split record with Dropkick Murphys themselves, Haywire will be spearheading the tour, opening the pit every single night and crushing crowds in before the the Murphys even touch the stage.
