Red Hot Motley Crue Tribute and Cyanide played the Copa Room at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

The Tuscany’s Copa Room continues to attract a great deal of rock and roll entertainment in the wake of Count’s Vamp’d closing last summer. Many thanks to Brian, Mike, Grayson, Mitch, and everyone who continues to support bands and keep live rock and roll going in the Las Vegas Valley!

Robert Hussey has long been one of my favorite musicians in Sin City, fronting many bands, both performing originals and covers; the guy is in no fewer than three tribute bands in addition to his band of original tunes, Cyanide. This evening saw the fearless frontman delivering not one but two sets of music, opening the night with a Cyanide set, and topping the package off with a Red Hot set of Motley Crue’s classic tunes.

Cyanide has long been a favorite band of mine in the Vegas Valley, with Mr. Hussey shelling out original tunes in the style of 80s sleaze and glam bands; if you didn’t know better you’d have no idea these songs were composed far after the 80s ended. Cyanide’s first album, LETHAL DOSE, came out way back in 2015, with many factors including band member departures delaying the release of its follow-up effort, 21 GUN SALUTE, to the point that there was a decade in between releases! While Cyanide has largely been a revolving door-effort with Hussey as its core member, the group did recently welcome back original drummer Ryan Gillan.

Cyanide’s last few shows have been heavy on the tracks from their most recently release. It’s a kick-ass album, so that’s not surprising in the least! But I was pleased to see that this night’s setlist brought back some old favorites from the debut I hadn’t heard live since pre-pandemic, including “Pump it to Me” and “What Comes Around Goes Around.” The new tunes were out in force as well, giving audiences plenty to chew on from both Cyanide releases, including a cover of Climax Blues Band’s “I Love You” which the band recorded for their second release. Topping off the set was cover songs by bands including KISS, Metallica, and Queensryche. To say Hussey’s originals rocked the crowd would be an understatement.

After a surprisingly long period between sets, Red Hot finally took the stage with the DR FEELGOOD album’s intro cut, “TNT (Terror N Tinseltown)” blaring over the speakers as the foursome took the stage, erupting right into the title track of that classic 1989 Bob Rock-produced release. Robert Hussey plays in many bands and wears many hats… but Vince Neil is the role he was born to play. If Mr. Neil ever quits Motley and the guys want to keep it going, this is the man who should fill that mantle. He does Vince better than Vince does Vince.

The set was packed with Motley Crue classics primarily ranging from their classic 1981 debut TOO FAST FOR LOVE right up to the aforementioned DR. FEELGOOD, with the band pulling plenty of gems from the interim out, including cuts from SHOUT AT THE DEVIL. THEATRE OF PAIN, and GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS. All the band members, decked out in appropriate attire, did a damn fine job bringing these songs back to life. While the real Motley has received mixed reviews for their concerts in recent years, Red Hot shows are tight, focused, and packed with energy. Only Robert Hussey can take a sit-down venue like the Tuscany’s Copa Room, and pack the area by the stage with headbanging fans. The sets even dig slightly deeper into the Crue catalogue at times, which is nice. Now if we could just get them to perform the title cut from the band’s final proper studio album, SAINTS OF LOS ANGELES, and Crue’s version of Tommy Bolin’s “Teaser,” I’d be set!

Killer originals and killer Crue covers. This was the perfect way to rock out at what has become a hot bed for all things rock and roll in the Las Vegas Valley in recent months, and Mr. Hussey and company never slowed down (except for the ballads, of course). Any Crue fan who lives in Vegas would be doing themselves a great service catching a Red Hot show, and for Crue-style originals, Cyanide fits the bill and then some. A damn fine night of rock with some of Sin City’s finest.
