Creed With 3 Doors Down Hit The Road For The Summer of ’99 Tour- Dallas Was Amazing…

Creed brought the Summer of ’99 tour to Dallas, TX on September 11^th at the Dos Equis Pavilion and damn did they crush it. The boys still got it, and I’ve never felt more nostalgic in my life. Creed and 3 Doors down practically raised me.  

Opening the evening were Finger Eleven and 3 Doors Down and they both delivered incredible performances. Finger Eleven dished out their best hits like “One Thing” and “Paralyzer. 3 Doors Down damn near brought the house down with heavy hitters like “Here Without You”, “Kryptonite” and “When I’m Gone.”  

Around 9:15 the big screen lit up and flashed CREED and the crowd chanted the band’s name until they arrived on stage. These guys are so much more energetic than I imagined! Lead singer Scott Stapp found his way to each side of the stage, giving everyone insane vocals and power stances. The most impressive thing I saw from up close was Eric Friedman on the guitar throw a mandolin on over his guitar to play during “Torn.” In between every two songs or so, Scott would talk to the audience and offer insight as to what the band has been up to the last several years. 

Many hit songs were played that night. Almost halfway through the set they played “My Own Prison” but saved the bests for last. With the first note of “With Arms Wide Open” the crowd roared; that may have been the loudest burst of crowd cheer I’ve ever heard honestly. Enthusiasm kept growing as Creed made their way through “Higher” and their two-song finale: “One Last Breath” and “My Sacrifice.”
