After a four-year break, the Mayhem Festival came back on October 12, 2024, at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA. This year’s festival featured an amazing lineup that celebrated heavy metal and hard rock, and it truly delivered.

The Venue

Glen Helen Amphitheater was a great place for the festival. With beautiful mountain views and plenty of space, fans were excited and ready for a full day of music. The weather was warm, but the vibe was perfect.

Lineup Highlights

From the start, a fantastic mix of bands hit the stages. Bad Omens opened the show and got everyone pumped with their catchy metal sound. Parkway Drive, the Australian metal legends, followed and brought high energy that had the crowd moving.

Architects played next, showing off their powerful music, and Jinjer captivated fans with their unique sound and incredible vocals from lead singer Tatiana Shmailyuk.

One of the best parts of the show was August Burns Red performing their album “Constellations.” Fans sang along to every word, and the band nailed each song perfectly.

A special moment happened when Seven Hours After Violet took the stage with Shavo Odadjian from System of a Down for their first-ever show. The excitement was through the roof. Throwdown, coming back for their first California show in 13 years, brought hardcore energy that reminded everyone why they loved them. (Seven Hours After Violet also features Taylor Barber from Left to Suffer and Michael Montoya from Winds of Plague.)

Other great acts included Suicide Silence, After The Burial, We Came As Romans, Brutus, and Born of Osiris. They all rocked the stage with amazing performances and got the crowd fired up. Peyton Parrish had his first West Coast show, and It Dies Today returned for their first West Coast show in over ten years, making their performances extra special.

The Experience

The festival was well-organized, making it easy to move around the venue. There were lots of food and drink options to keep everyone happy. While there were some lines, they didn’t take away from the fun of the day.
As night approached, the atmosphere got even better. The crowd cheered loudly, especially during the final sets. Fireworks lit up the sky, adding to the excitement and fun of the night.

Conclusion

Mayhem Festival 2024 was a huge success. It celebrated both famous bands and talented newcomers, giving fans a day full of heavy music and good vibes. Those who attended left with smiles and great memories.

If you missed this year’s festival, don’t worry! With such a successful comeback, Mayhem Festival is sure to return next year. Get ready for more chaos and good times!
