Sixx Gun Music’s grand re-opening event took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Las Vegas has one hell of a music scene, to say the least. I’ve been going out and taking it in for well over a decade. With so many great musicians, there understandably need to be music stores for these artists to get the equipment with which they can rock audiences. Sixx Gun Music, which recently re-opened its doors, held a special event complete with live music and great deals.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a musician. However, there’s definitely no bigger fan of live rock music in Sin City than I am, so I knew this is an event I’d be attending nonetheless. The store offers a wide array of instruments, workshops, and great deals, and even custom stuff as well!

The employees and owners of the shop proudly touted that the space housing the business had been put together by a hardworking crew in only about a month; it had been a largely blank and empty space prior to that! Live entertainment was certainly one of the highlights of the day. The Bones, performing their raw, stripped-down versions of overproduced pop tunes combined with original, wowed audiences with what they did best, but there were other performances as well, including solo artists and blues, adding some variety to the day.

And there were no shortage of high-profile attendees at the event as well! Making appearance were former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick, Quiet Riot co-founder Kelly Garni, local Vegas radio personality Lark Williams, Count’s 77 bassist Barry Barnes, and Ace Frehley tribute artist Izzy Presley! This is in addition to plenty of music fans from around the valley coming to celebrate the reopening of the store.

Sixx Gun Music will likely remain a hub for the needs of many a musician in the Las Vegas Valley, and this event was an excellent evening demonstrating that beautifully.
