One Last KISS played the Copa Room at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino on Friday, October 24, 2025.

The Copa Room at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino (not to be confused with the similarly named venue at the Bootlegger restaurant) continues to book rock and roll entertainment, being one of the spots to step up and do so following the closure of Count’s Vamp’d earlier this year. On October 24, the Tuscany decided to start the Halloween festivities a week early with a concert from KISS tribute band One Last KISS, also featuring an acoustic opening set and a costume contest for enthused fans.

Clearly the Tuscany takes events like this very seriously, having even set up a special Halloween archway for admittance to patrons, many of whom were costumed and ready to participate in the contest. One of the Vegas music scene’s favorite sons, Izzy Presley (himself of the Ack! Ace Frehley tribute band), was hosting the festivities for the evening, helping to keep the crowd both enthused and amused.

Starting the show was an acoustic set featuring Stoney Curtis and Patrick Vitagliano. The Bones members played a wide variety of tunes as a duo from the expected to the not-so-expected (I don’t remember ever hearing any other artist playing Barry McGuire’s “Eve of Destruction” live, ever). These includes Bones originals (of which there are quite a few these days) and several pop-rock classics. Vitagliano even told the story about how, despite his close ties to the KISS camp, he’d never played a KISS song live before. He quickly changed this with renditions of a few of the band’s cuts, including the oft-forgotten “Shandi” from 1980’s obscure UNMASKED record. It was a fine way to kick off the evening.

Between sets, Mr. Presley returned to the microphone, summoning those in costumes who were hoping to win the cash prize. There was certainly a wide variety of costumes on display with a diverse assortment of folks, including the Joker, Green Lantern, Scooby-Doo, Marge Simpson, and even a man who looked like he was decked out to attend a Day of the Dead parade! Throughout the forthcoming set, several of the costumed patrons would be asked to return to the stage to show off their costumes a second time.

One Last KISS soon took the stage, wearing authentic KISS-style makeup from the band’s 1970s heyday. Obviously, a stage like the one at the Tuscany doesn’t really allow for pyrotechnics and complex lighting arrangements, but these guys are able to take any stage and transform it into the ideal spot for classic hard rock. Featuring members from several of the KISS tribute bands of Vegas’ past, including Sin City KISS and Generation KISS, these guys take what they do seriously, and it shows in every live performance they do.

One Last KISS comes out all guns blazing any time they take the stage, giving the audience a combination of classic hits and deep cuts alike. This evening at the Tuscany was no exception. With the recent passing of Ace Frehley, the band took a good portion of the evening to cover Ace-penned tunes, including his lead vocal debut, “Shock Me,” plus a handful of solo Ace tunes as well. Other KISS classics like “Strutter” and “Deuce,” both from the debut album, sounded as good as ever, complete with the latter featuring the “Deuce Dance” at the end much like the real band always did back in the day. All eyes were glued to the band throughout the evening, with the Tuscany’s Copa Room busier than I’d ever seen it. And rightfully so!

I’ll never pass up an opportunity to see KISS music live, and One Last KISS delivers the goods. Hits, deep cuts, unrivaled stage presence – it’s everything a fan of Gene, Paul, Peter, and Ace could possibly want. This crowd was not disappointed! If you want the best, you’ll get the best with One Last KISS. Don’t overlook these guys if you seek the hottest band in the land!
