Every month at the Punk Rock Museum is a treat, with events and tours and gigs at the Three Star Punk Bar, but the weekend of January 16th is even better. Why?
The PRM is kicking off the first comprehensive NOFX exhibit ever, and what better day to open it up than Friday, January 16th which happens to be PRM Co-Founder and NOFX bassist/vocalist Fat Mike’s birthday. The exhibit gives us a look at the band’s 40 year career with tours by members of the band including Smelly, El Hefe, and Fat Mike as well as members of the band’s crew like Kent “Man-A-Ger”, Rugly, and Jay Walker.
The exhibit itself is due to hold never before seen photos, flyers from the band’s personal collection, and rare artifacts. In addition to the tours and the exhibit, a special roundtable discussion will be taking place. If you haven’t been to a roundtable at the Punk Rock Museum before, this one is bound to be a good one to start with!
If you are a NOFX fan, you aren’t going to want to miss this. I highly suggest making sure you are there early as it is sure to fill up. You never know what your eyes may witness, or what you may get for being there. Maybe some special merch? Maybe a special Punk Rock Museum release of NOFX demos? Maybe a special performance? Who knows…?
Everything kicks off on Friday January 16th at 3:30 pm and the party goes until Sunday, January 18th at 8:00 pm. We will see you there!
Other notable upcoming events at the Punk Rock Museum for January include tours by Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys), Randy Bradbury (Pennywise), and David J (Bauhaus) as well as shows featuring Anti Vision, The Rockaways (Ramones Tribute), and Easy Out (featuring members of Voodoo Glow Skulls) and a special Don’t Tell Comedy show on the 17th with Earl Skakel!
