Eleven Eleven and 3 Legged Dog – Alice in Chains and More at the Tuscany!

Eleven Eleven and the 3 Legged Dog Alice in Chains tribute played the Tuscany Hotel’s Copa Room on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

As a rock and roll summer approaches, the Tuscany’s Copa Room continues to be the place to be for all things rock and roll. As always, my thanks to Mike, Brian, Mitch, Grayson, and everyone who’s turned this into Sin City’s ideal spot for live music in the months following the closure of Count’s Vamp’d. The venue draws in a wide variety of rock performers, be them local and beyond. On this evening, we got two great local groups doing what they do best.

The Tuscany’s Copa Room is used for other productions, meaning the rock shows are generally relegated to times later at night, but this may be the first time I’ve ever come to the venue and the doors were opened early; this is a great testament to how great of a crew the room has. As a rock fan, I was pleasantly surprised to see how large of a crowd the two bands drew in on this Saturday night; that’s no easy task in a city known for competing entertainment.

Starting the show off was Eleven Eleven, although the two bands playing the Tuscany this evening were essentially the same personnel, with only their singers being different. Eleven Eleven plays an eclectic mix of cover songs and is fronted by the beautiful and charismatic Marissa Hollenback. This young lady owns any stage that she’s on, and the one at the Tuscany’s Copa Room proved to be no exception. The band’s set mainly consisted of covers of songs from the 1990s, with this frontwoman putting her own spin on them. Hats off to the band for throwing in even a few songs I didn’t recognize! She also wasn’t afraid to go out into the audience and sing along with fans, young and old alike! While the set admittedly got a bit heavy on Tool covers near the end, I won’t deny that this was an entertaining and diverse set, and I look forward to the next gig, whenever and wherever that may be. We even got some guest musicians up on stage near the end of the set, including the frontman of Grunge Nation, a group that regularly rocks the Copa Room stage.

Following up was 3 Legged Dog, Las Vegas’ tribute to Alice in Chains. Again, the personnel between the two bands was shared with the exception of vocalists, with 3 Legged Dog featuring Double Wide vocalist Julian Boccadoro, long one of my favorite frontmen on Sin City’s music scene, and one who knows how to entertain an audience!

Alice in Chains was one of the greatest bands to rise in the 1990s. While often overshadowed by the likes of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, AiC had a sound all their own: gloomy, melodic, and truly unique. The band scored many hits and built an audience with Jerry Cantrell’s songwriting and guitar leading the way. Even after the death of original vocalist Layne Staley, the band perseveres with new singer William DuVall. I’ve never seen an actual Alice in Chains concert (unless you count an award show performance back in 2007 where they were joined by Gretchen Wilson for a Heart cover), so I jump at the chance to hear musicians paying homage.

3 Legged Dog, so named because of the canine who appears on the cover of the band’s 1995 self-titled album, was a band that had been on my radar but who I’d not yet had the opportunity to see live. And right from the get-go, it was clear that Julian and company meant business, giving audiences what they came for with a performance that did justice to the Alice in Chains catalogue, even shelling out a surprising number of deep cuts alongside the hits. I love hearing deep cuts; any time a band digs deeper into their catalogue it shows a level of devotion and dedication that die-hard fans can enjoy. Admittedly, the first part of this set was perhaps a bit too heavy on the deeper tracks, as much as I love them, but the all-ages audience was rocking out and having a great time.

My only real substantial complaint with the night was that bands are still playing full-length sets when they aren’t the only band on the bill. Shows at the Tuscany’s Copa Room start later in the evening than many venues; much of this is due to the room having to be shared with other productions. As a result, too many gigs are going well past midnight. If you’re the only band playing the venue, give us a full-length single set. If you’re one of two bands on the bill, give us an abbreviated set of the highlights. As much as I love the venue and the bands who play here, I seldom make it to the very end of the night due to the long and late running times. But again, this is an umbrella criticism and isn’t focused on any particular artist.

3 Legged Dog did a great job bringing the Alice in Chains catalogue to life in Sin City, and Eleven Eleven’s set was equally impressive. And as always, my thanks to the crew at Tuscany for keeping live music alive in Las Vegas. Both band are well worth seeing for any rock fans.
