Cory Wong: Lost In The Wonder Tour // Dallas, TX

May 1, 2026 – Cory Wong and his goated band brought the funk to Dallas for a night of pure flow state. It was an insatiable evening of groovy tunes and stellar solos from the band. It was quite a gloomy day here in Dallas and I could feel it in the room as the audience was quiet and sleepy. But once Cory and the band got the grooves going, everyone lit up and got to movin’. The energy from the band was one hundred percent all night. I love watching bands perform music they genuinely enjoy because you can see it on their faces and it feeds the crowd’s energy. One girl at the barricade must be Cory’s biggest fan – she was jumping and smiling and singing along the hardest!

Cory and his band kicked things off with “Out At Midnight” and wove seamlessly through each song and ended on a massive high with “Meditation” and “Assassin.” The set was packed nicely with older tracks and newer hits from his latest album “Lost In The Wonder.”

While this was the Cory Wong show, he would step aside occasionally to highlight each member of the band as they played their solos. I particularly enjoyed Dan White’s saxophone solo that morphed into a duet with drummer Petar Janjic. Another highlight was bassist Yohannes Tona’s smooth, sexy solo. I have not stank-faced that hard in some time.

This tour was one of my most anticipated of the year and it very much met and exceeded my expectations! Cory’s music is wonderful to listen to on streaming, but you don’t get that high vibration that you do seeing and hearing him play live. You can feel the heart of the music in the room.

The Lost In The Wonder Tour ends in Austin and Cory will be heading overseas to Europe and the UK for the summer, then in August he will be holding 4 days and nights of Cory Wong’s Syncopated Summer Camp.
