Up-and-coming band The Wldlfe, touting almost half a million monthly listeners, made a stop in Dallas early in their Long Way Home Tour on Wednesday and itwas certainly a night to remember. The girlies at the barricade had the bestenergy and the band gave it right back. This tour is a celebration of the release oftheir new album, “Revolver, 2026.”
Landon Conrath is opening for The Wldlfe on this tour but unfortunately, I wasunable to catch his set. I hear it was a lot of fun and very high energy. Conrath hasbeen releasing his original music for over half a decade and has garnered asizeable following. Check out his latest EP release, “can i win just a little bit???”
The atmosphere in the room was both chill and anticipatory. With a ton of hazeflooding the stage, the audience braced for The Wldlfe to appear. The intro to“Ruby” began and everyone cheered and danced along to the new indie-popbanger. The band’s second song on the set was the tour debut of “Close To You.” Acouple songs later was “Box” that lead into a verse of “Best of Both Worlds” byHannah Montana.
About halfway through their set, the band let fate decide their next songperformance by spinning a tiny wheel that chose “Ends.” The Wldlfe performedmost of their latest album as well as a handful of songs from earlier in theircatalog. They ended their main set with “Revolver” before a three-song encore of“Repaint My Mind” (played recording), “Blood Orange” and “Somebody’s GonnaLove You.”
The Nashville trio will continue the Long Way Home Tour now through December4th ending in their hometown at The Basement East. Tickets are still on sale ontheir website: www.thewldlfe.com/tour
