Saturday, March 19, 2022 ORGY brought their “Revival” tour to The Usual Place in Downtown Las Vegas. On this bill we have Las Vegas locals Silent Movie Cinema, and on the full tour we saw Cosmic Killjoy and Death Valley High.
On a personal note, industrial music and it’s variations isn’t really my thing. Despite that, there was a good sized crowd inside The Usual Place this night, and I actually turned corners a few times and ran into people I haven’t seen in years. That’s always pretty cool. In “industrial” like nature, the venue was dark, and the bands all played under dark red and blue lighting. The only band that didn’t use only that was Death Valley High- they added a smoke machine to their set. While that effect is very cool looking, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t struggle to breathe. I’ve caught Death Valley High one other time, and they put on a good show, despite my own struggles with their stage visuals.
When it comes to the band, ORGY… I remember hearing the name a lot back in the late 1990’s, and I vaguely remember some of their photographs that were around at that time. As I mentioned, the style isn’t really my thing- but they had a great interactive crowd and I always see that as a plus with literally any band that I see.
With the exception of their last two singles, “The Spectrum” (2020) and “Karma Kastles” (2021) ORGY has not had a full album release since 2015; and the last time we covered the Los Angeles “Death Pop” band was in 2014 at the now closed LVCS.

Have a look at my visuals from the night below, as well as check out some of the music from the performers. (Cosmic Killjoy was the only artist that I could not find a dedicated page with music on it, but if you’d like to keep up with him, head on over to his Facebook page.)
