New Release: Autopsy – Ashes, Organs, Blood And Crypts

Just a year after their 2022  release, Morbidity Triumphant, San Francisco, CA’s AUTOPSY are getting ready to release their tenth studio album (According to Metal Archives, other sources cite this album as their ninth studio album.), Ashes, Organs, Blood & Crypts. (Release date: October 27, 2023)

What first comes to mind when you hear Autopsy’s name? How about the brutal yet simple album name? If you guessed death metal, you’d be correct! Now, I’ll admit that I’m not the biggest death metal fan here on our team, but this album has some intense thrashy riffs and solo action that I found easy to get into.

This album is definitely for those old school Cannibal Corpse, Death, Deicide, or Suffocation fans and all those who dig the pioneers of the death metal genre. Fans of newer age death metal such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Sanguisugabogg, The Faceless and Revocation could also easily find interest in this record.

The album was recorded by Scott Evans and Greg Wilkinson at Sharkbite Studios with additional tracking at Earhammer Studios by Greg Wilkinson and was mixed by Greg Wilkinson and mastered by Ken Lee.

“Ashes, Organs, Blood And Crypts” will be available for pre-order in the following formats: limited edition red LP (Blood) / yellow LP (Organs – available exclusively from the Peaceville stores) and orange LP (Crypts),LP (Ashes),CD and digital.

I first picked up a camera at 12 years old and I have been carrying one around ever since. I have an incredibly deep connection and love for my Las Vegas local music scene, this is where I first fell in love with music photography and knew that this is what I wanted to be doing with my time here on this planet. I say I'm a metalhead but I really love all kinds of music, I just connect the most with metal. Concerts are my happy place, and the happiest you'll ever see me is at a show with my camera in hand!
