Saturday, May 11, 2024 –NIN tribute, Nails returned to Colorado Springs for a local charity event called S.T.A.Y which focuses on children and youth mental health resources. The benefit show had opening cover band Skin and Bones, a Deftones tribute band – My Own Summer and of course- NIN tribute, Nails. The event met its raising funds goal and awareness for mental health for children and youths. 

My Own Summer played the classic Deftones music and brought a positive energetic vibe to the crowd. During the performance, the band announced that this would be their last show and what a great way to close a chapter with this benefit show . 

Founder Lindsay Thompson gave a heartfelt speech that included her love for Nine Inch Nails/Trent Reznor’s music and how the music gave her hope. She then introduced Nails to the stage where they brought Reznor’s music to life . During the middle of their set , members of the S.T.A.Y foundation gave away an electric guitar and a photograph of Trent Reznor to one lucky winner as part of a fundraising draw. Ari Tomke is an American concert photographer . She has photographed iconic industrial rock bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Skinny Puppy, KMFDM and much more. In 2018 she was given the opportunity to photograph her first concert, that band being AFI, at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater located in Morrison, Colorado. Ari has a passion for traveling and visiting new/old music venues, capturing the raw emotions of fans but her main focal point is capturing the most vital artists in music. She continues to learn as much as she can from her photography heroes such as Rob Sheridan, Joey Cultice and Jonathan Rach to name a few. “My favorite thing about specializing in concert photography is being the person behind the camera capturing a moment in time for all to enjoy and pass down to the younger generation so they can appreciate how bad ass this dark life can really be”.
