System 6, unitcode:machine, Curse Mackey Get The Crowd Ready for PIG Friday at SinWave

October 18, 2024 was a night full of industrial and goth ecstasy at SinWave. PIG was headlining the night, but we were treated to four bands preceding to create a full night of bliss for those of us who enjoy the darker side of music. The first to take the stage was System 6.

System 6 formed from the west coast and is local to Las Vegas. While the band was missing their frontman due to coming down with an ailment preventing him from performing, that did not stop the other members from taking to the stage and owning every moment of their time to shine. Every move was powerful, and their masterfulness of their instruments was undeniable.

Not only were they wonderful to listen to, but they were also incredible to watch.

Up next on the lineup was unitcode:machine… For 24 years, unitcode:machine has been creating electro-industrial ear candy out of the Lone Star State of Texas. Just as those who took to the stage prior, they took to the stage commanding every inch of it with music that got everyone moving. Their stage presence was equally as dynamic.

For anyone who is a fan of industrial music, they are worthy of a place on your playlist!

The infamous Curse Mackey was next… Pigface… My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult… Clan of Xymox… all foundational names within the goth and industrial genre and Curse Mackey has been a part of it all.

Curse Mackey ruled the room with his solo project by the same name. At the time he took the stage, the venue was packed. Fans were rejoicing in the darkwave melodies that resonated throughout SinWave. Some were seen swaying while others were dancing. Regardless of how people chose to take it in, it was thoroughly digested by everyone in the room.

Mary is a concert and event photographer. Born and raised just outside the Mile High City, her photography career (Spooky Shutter) began in Denver, Colorado. While growing up, her family exposed her to all genres of music, and it became a staple in her life. Coincidingly, her mother was very much into photography. Mary picked up her first camera at four years old and her parents embraced her natural talent. To this day she credits her love of music and photography to her family. She is passionate about capturing the raw energy, passion, and connections with fans during live shows, describing it as “art capturing art”. While she now calls Sin City home, she travels back to Denver and across the country to shoot shows and events wherever she is needed. Photography is her staple, but when she’s not shooting, she can be found spending time with her family (including her “army of animals”), writing, playing music, crafting oddities, doing animal advocacy work, or working on her hearse with her husband.
