The Devil Wears Prada: TDWP IS ETERNAL TOUR At The Factory in Deep Ellum, TX

November 15, 2024 – For a band that’s been prominent in the metal/post-hardcore scene for almost twenty years, The Devil Wears Prada is just as lively and celebrated as they were when they became one of the most iconic bands to rock our stages. I fell in love with these guys back in high school when a friend put me onto their 2006 debut album “Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord.” Since its release, The Devil Wears Prada have not missed a beat in regard to putting out new music almost every single year since.

Kicking off the night were four opening bands, each of which brought energy levels up higher and higher, getting the crowd pumped as hell before The Devil Wears Prada came out. I stood in the back of the crowd chatting with a fellow concertgoer in between sets who would hype up each band and let me know which songs and albums of the openers to check out:

Greyhaven: “Echo and Dust Pt. I ”
Like Moths to Flames: “Dark Divine”
Silent Planet: “SUPERBLOOM”–

Elder emos filled most of the barricade-Ieven passed by a guy with his young son who couldn’t have been more than three years old, fit with protective ear wear. Massive energy came when The Devil Wears Prada came out onto the stage. These guys have such a great connection with their fans and know how to deliver solid performances. A couple circle pits were formed, and tons of crowd surfing happened within the first three songs. Luckily, I made it out with only a single kick to the head! The Devil Wears Prada played an eighteen-song setlist full of tunes from their entire discography. Their two-song encore included one of my all-time favorite songs: “Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over”–bring back unhinged song titles please and thanks. The band then ended on absolute banger “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again.”

The band will be continuing their The Devil Wears Prada is Eternal tour all the way through December 1st before heading overseas for a quick stint in Europe. Head to https://tdwpband.com/ for more tour information and be sure to stream their latest two singles: “Reasons” and “Ritual.”
