Texas metal fans rejoice! The freshly-viral doom metal band, Pentagram, is set to bring thunderous riffs and haunting melodies to San Antonio’s Paper Tiger on May 13, 2025, as part of their highly anticipated U.S. spring tour. The tour is set to support their most recent album, Lightning in a Bottle, which was dropped earlier this year. Marking the first release in over a decade, the legendary band’s tour is not to be missed.
Originally formed in 1971, Pentagram has been a pioneering force in the doom metal scene ever since. Known for their heavy, Black Sabbath-inspired sound, the enigmatic presence of frontman Bobby Liebling has propelled them to the forefront of classic metal stardom. Despite numerous lineup changes and personal challenges, the band has maintained a cult following, with classic albums like Relentless and Be Forewarned solidifying their legacy. Most recently, the band went viral on Tik Tok and Instagram after footage of a wide-eyed Liebling looking absolutely menacing during live performance of their song, The Ghoul, shocked social media audiences.
The band will be gracing San Antonio by playing at the famous indie venue, The Paper Tiger. Located on St. Mary’s St. in downtown San Antonio, The Paper Tiger has become a staple venue for rock, indie, electronic, and certain metal acts, praised for its intimate setting and excellent acoustics.
