Fresh blood for a old band: Stone Temple Pilots w/ Chester Bennington

[EasyGallery id=’viewstonetemplepilotsgallery’]

A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of seeing the Stone Temple Pilots with their new lead singer, Chester Bennington, of Linkin Park. First off, no he is not Scott Weiland. Second, with Chester singing, Scott should not really be missed. The band had an amazing energy on stage, one that seemed to be lacking the last time I saw them with Scot W on vocals. The core members seem to be re-invigorated with the addition of Chester. Vocally, Chester was more than capable of singing all the older, back catalog of STP hits and the new songs they have collaborated on sound very much like signature STP. All in all, I think the future looks good for STP with Chester Bennington, and it would be a shame to miss these guys live if they come around.

He has seen, literally, countless shows. Moved to Vegas over a year ago, and loves the music scene out here and cannot wait to shoot it! Some of his favorite artists are: Foo Fighters, Rob/White Zombie, Van Halen (any), Sammy Hagar, Pantera, and pretty much any good ‘80’s thrash and metal
