Cyanide and the Red Hot Motley Crue tribute played the Copa Room at the Tuscany on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

2025 is drawing to a close, and despite some hits to the music world, on local, national, and international scales, Sin City continues to deliver rock and roll! The Tuscany’s Copa Room (not to be confused with the similarly named establishment at the Bootlegger restaurant) has stepped up to be one of the place booking hard rock shows in the wake of Count’s Vamp’d closing earlier this year. It’s been one of the pleasant surprises in a year with so many tragic losses, and this tradition will hopefully continue well into 2026!

December 20 saw the arrival of not but one two bands fronted by one of Vegas’ leading talents, Robert Hussey! Hussey sings for no fewer than four bands, and manages to do a superb job fronting them all, showing an unrivaled passion for the songs from the Decade of Decadence and beyond.

Kicking off the two sets of rock and roll was Cyanide. Unlike Hussey’s other bands which are tributes, Cyanide is original music, albeit done largely in the style of 80s Motley Crue. For this evening, following an injury to the band’s bass player, Mr. Hussey pulled double duty, belting out the tunes whole holding down the low end of the four strings. While he expressed doubts about being able to pull this off, this fan didn’t see any issues. Cyanide released their first album, LETHAL DOSE, way back in 2015, and it took over a decade to get the follow-up record, 21 GUN SALUTE, and Mr. Hussey remains the only original member still in the group.

That said, this guy knows and loves the 80s like no one else, and it shows in Cyanide’s originals. Tunes from the new album meshed perfectly with plenty from the decade-old debut. Cuts like “Fireball,” “Slip N Slide,” “Rock And Roll Army,” and “Social Media Disease” are instant classics, and it was great to revisit some tunes from the old album like “Bitches to Blame.” That said, I’d still like to hear some of the tunes from the first record like “Pump it to Me” and “Drinkin’” return to the band’s sets in the near future too. Another great set from one of Vegas’ top frontmen.

When Robert Hussey isn’t singing Crue-inspired tunes, he’s straight up singing Crue tunes. That’s what Red Hot is all about! Anyone could just get on stage and sing Motley Crue’s biggest hits, but that would be boring. Hussey and company mixed things up on this Saturday night with a combination of Crue classics and deep cuts alike, giving the casual and die-hard fans alike everything they could ever want from such a gig. I’ve often said that Mr. Hussey does Vince Neil better than Vince Neil, and this night proved it better than any other. If the actual Crue decides to go on without Neil, this guy would be the perfect replacement!

Thanks again to everyone at the Tuscany for delivering when it comes to booking solid rock and roll entertainment in a town where that void desperately needs to be filled. Sin City needs all the venues booking music it can possibly get, and on this night, fans of the 80s Sunset Strip scene got the dose they needed. Don’t pass up an opportunity to see these bands in action if the glam from back in the day is up your alley.
