Cyanide and Flight 666 – A Double Dose of Robert Hussey at the Tuscany’s Copa Room!

Cyanide and Flight 666 played the Tuscany Copa Room on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Leave it to the Tuscany’s Copa Room to continue delivering the goods when it comes to Vegas’ top hard rock and heavy metal acts! The scene is still a bit scattershot with last summer’s closure of Count’s Vamp’d, but so far, no other venue has done more to lead the charge in giving Vegas headbangers a place to call their own. Many thanks to Mike, Grayson, Mitch, Brian, and all the folks at the Tuscany for making this a reality!

Robert Hussey has long been one of Las Vegas’ most fearless frontmen, currently serving as the lead singer for no fewer than four bands. I see them constantly, and never get tired of them; this guy is a local treasure and continues to belt out the hard rock and heavy metal in fine form. This evening gave audiences a double dose of Mr. Hussey doing what he does best – originals and covers alike!

Cyanide kicked off the night. This is Hussey’s band of original songs, done largely in the style of 80s Motley Crue (although Hussey also has a Crue tribute!) Cyanide celebrated the release of their second album, 21 GUN SALUTE, late last year, and has been on an ongoing celebration ever since with new music videos being released and the album continuing to receive rave reviews. The new album a decade in the making, Hussey remains the sole member still in the band. And he continues to deliver!

Belting out his powerful Vince Neil-style vocals (if Vince ever retires the Crue needs to hire this guy!), this guy owns any stage on which he calls home for the evening. He even called fans of the band down to the dance floor for a music video to be filmed, and this headbanger got down there… albeit with a few very energetic and overly enthusiastic fans! Those who love 80s sleaze and glam can’t get enough Cyanide… and I’m no exception. While the set was mostly original tunes, the band did manage to sneak in some diverse covers, ranging from Queensryche to Climax Blues Band!

Following Mr. Hussey’s’ set of originals with Cyanide was his Iron Maiden tribute band, Flight 666. The band shares much of the same personnel as Cyanide, so after a few minor costume and equipment changes, they were good to go! The music of Iron Maiden is sacred to me and heavy metal maniacs around the world, so finding people capable of doing it justice is a must, especially given how rare the opportunities arise to go see the “actual” band. We’ve got at least two other Iron Maiden tributes in Vegas, but it seems like Flight 666 is the one I end up seeing the most.

And that’s a good thing.

You’ll certainly never mistake Hussey or his bandmates for the real Iron Maiden, but they play this material with enthusiasm and a respect for it not enough musicians have. The band even had an Eddie actor on stage, who also took photos with fans prior to the gig. Flight 666 always manages to bring together a solid setlist combining the better-known Maiden tunes with some of the deeper ones. Unsurprisingly, this set mostly stuck to the band’s classic years with Bruce Dickinson, but there were a few surprises thrown in for good measure.

The Tuscany continues to be a hot spot for all things rock and roll in the Vegas Valley, and Robert Hussey delivered a killer double set of the hard and heavy stuff. This fan can’t get enough live Maiden music, and the set of originals from Cyanide was just as impressive; don’t hesitate to add both of their albums to your collection if you’re a fan of 70s sleaze and glam!
