July 11, 2026 – The first time I saw Sleeping With Sirens was in 2015. I had spent the last decade of my life as a wife and becoming a mother. Life had pushed the pause button on my love for live music for a bit after all the shows I had gone to in my 20s. I went years without attending a single concert. Then, my husband died. While it seemed for a while that I too would die, it was also the beginning of an awakening in me. I found my love for music again. And Sleeping With Sirens was a part of that.

That show in 2015 (with All Time Low, Neck Deep, and ONE OK ROCK–what a lineup!) reignited something in me as I navigated the grief of my loss and created a new life for myself. I have seen them three times since, and last year, I finally got to see “King For A Day”, one of my favorite songs of all time, performed with both singers, Vic (of Pierce the Veil) and Kellin (of Sleeping With Sirens).

Fast forward to last night, watching one of my favorite bands from the pit, I ended up shooting the best set of photos I’ve ever taken in my entire life. This has been a weird year for music in Las Vegas. No Punk Rock Bowling. No When We Were Young Festival. But the Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series at Fremont Street Experience is still showing us a good time!

The crowd was massive and brought their vocal chops with them. We all sang along to everything from “An Ending In Itself” to “If You Can’t Hang” and everything in between, including some of my personal favorites, “Go Go Go” and “Better Off Dead”. This show was most definitely The Bomb Dot Com, and I can’t wait to see them again!

She wrote for a small zine in her early 20s, interviewing and photographing bands like Goldfinger and Reel Big Fish, and recently had the opportunity to shoot her all-time favorite band, MxPx. Now, in her 40s, she loves the local punk scene and is always on the hunt for a good show. She enjoys listening to audiobooks, cooking, and constantly changing her hair because life is too short for boring hair! When not at a show, she spends time at home with her husband, son, two dogs, and three cats or traveling.
