Church is in Session! Rock and Roll Church Returns to the Tuscany Copa Room!

The most recent Rock and Roll Church gig at the Tuscany’s Copa Room took place on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Leave it to the good people at the Tuscany’s Copa Room to bring rock and roll and a fantastic brunch buffet to the masses midday on a Sunday! As always, thanks to the crew at Tuscany for all they do, including Mitch, Brian, Grayson, and Mike.

One minor complaint I do need to address here which has come up a few times before is the Tuscany’s parking situation. I do appreciate that this place offers free parking, which is becoming a commodity that’s more and more scarce these days. The problem is that the Tuscany lacks a parking garage, so every time there’s any other event happening on the property, the lot gets too full and finding a space can become next to impossible. On the day of this Rock and Roll Church gig, a trading card show was taking place in one of the upstairs conference rooms, which made the parking situation problematic again. I would strongly encourage the building of a parking garage on or near the Tuscany property to remedy this problem; it’s happened a few times before.

Rock and Roll Church (despite the name, there’s absolutely nothing religious about it) is a monthly event that occurs on the final Sunday of each month, with the option to purchase a brunch buffet for the gig. The band performing at each Rock and Roll Church consists of vocalist Andrew Freeman, bassist Barry Barnes, guitarist Christian Brady, and drummer Shon McKee. Anyone who has lived in Vegas for any period of time knows these musicians. And that they’re the real deal.

One of the highlights of these events is the brunch buffet, which is quite affordable compared to a great deal of what’s offered around Vegas… plus this also includes live entertainment! Good luck finding a live rock show AND brunch under the same roof, let alone for a good price. This time around, the buffet menu consisted of a “taco bar” of sorts, and I certainly ate my fill. I’m not sure filling up was the best idea before rocking out on the concert floor… but that didn’t stop me.

The Rock and Roll Church quartet plays a wide array of cover songs from hits to deep cuts spanning several decades. There are no egos on display here, and the humor and chemistry between the band members is half the fun. Where else are you going to hear the same band perform Krokus’ “Screaming in the Night” and Genesis’ “Turn It On Again?” From Dio-era Black Sabbath tunes to a high energy cover of the 1973 Elton John classic “Saturday Night’s Already for Fighting,” you never quite know what these guys are going to throw your way next. And that’s the best part of the show!

Andrew and company did mention something about how the show “has guests” sometime but there haven’t been many people showing up for this. I do hope that they manage to grab a few guest stars for future gigs, similar to what I saw at the Sin City Sinners gigs back in the day; this could make for an interesting “open jam” experience of sorts (the band has even said they don’t rehearse at all except for during sound check).

Rock and Roll Church is a monthly ritual of sorts I always look forward to. It’s a great ego-free show with some of the best musicians who call Vegas home, just unwinding and having a good time. The food is fantastic as well! Rock fans in Vegas shouldn’t pass up these monthly outings.
