AC/DC Pop-Up Shop at the Hard Rock Cafe!

AC/DC’s pop-up shop hosted a special fan/press “preview night” on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

What can be said about AC/DC that hasn’t been said already. These Australian rock juggernauts have been doing their thing for over half a century. Love them or hate them, there’s no escaping anthems like “Highway to Hell,” “Back in Black,” “TNT,” “Shoot to Thrill,” “Thunderstruck,” and “For Those About To Rock.” They’re one of the most famous and successful rock bands in history, having endured tragedies that have included the deaths of vocalist Bon Scott and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young.

This past weekend say AC/DC’s performance to a massive crowd at Allegiant Stadium, but wanting to appeal to a wider array of fans, and get their merch out to the masses, the band set up a pop-up shop on Friday and Saturday (prior to the concert taking place on Saturday night) on the third floor of the Las Vegas Strip’s Hard Rock Café. Me and a few other members of the ZRock’R team were invited to attend the preview launch night on Thursday.

One of the first things this fan noticed was just how many fans had lined up in droves to attend this preview night. Upon entering the building on the first floor (which is the “gift shop” space with all of the Hard Rock merch), fans were greeted by a cannon used by the band during their 1991 Donington performance! I chatted with several other fans in the line, including a pair of fans from England and Ireland, just going to show how far people will come to catch these Australian rock icons on a live stage.

Once inside the shop room set up on the third floor, there was a literal entire wall of AC/DC merch. Truly a bit of everything. Shirts. Stickers. Patches. Vinyl records. Skateboards. Funko Pops of the members. Believe me when I say it’s impossible to list everything that was for sale. They even had a stage-worn Angus “Schoolboy” outfit in the merch room! The fans here for this event walked away with plenty of merch, which hardly comes as a surprise. AC/DC is as strong a brand as it is a band.

Following going through the shop, fans could fraternize in the third-floor bar, with plenty of additional AC/DC backdrops, a Hell’s Bells prop, and a gigantic neon sign that took up nearly the entire south wall of the bar area! Additionally, fans could pose for photo ops with an Angus Young guitar. It was the ideal place to spend time with friends who loved AC/DC, and to meet new ones from around the globe.

Probably my only minor complaint with an otherwise excellent night was that the third floor “concert stage” area was closed and blocked off. Opening this area up would’ve been ideal for displaying more props from the band’s history and given fans more space to socialize, as the bar area did get a bit cluttered a few times throughout the night (but that’s to be expected with AC/DC fans, since there are so damn many of them!)

Overall, this was a great night and a fantastic way to get merch from one of rock’s biggest bands on the weekend of a truly epic show that rocked Sin City. These guys have a legacy that speaks for itself, and no amount of tragedies or hardships will ever derail that. Half a century later, they’re still saluting all those who are about to rock.
