The Show.
July 5th brought Godsmack back to The Joint inside of the Hard Rock Hotel as part of the official UFC Fight Week concerts. Check out our pre-show article HERE.
The band’s logo was plastered on the giant black curtain. As the curtain came down, the packed venue erupted in screams. Members Sully Erna, Robbie Merrill, Tony Rombola, and Shannon Larkin took the stage.
Vocalist Sully Erna greeted the Las Vegas crowd just before the band dove into opener “When Legends Rise”. It’s no surprise that the crowd sang every word right back.
As the band went into “1000hp”, the pyrotechnics went off. Although those of us in the photo pit knew it was coming, the heat was intense. How in the hell those guys do it on stage is beyond me.
Godsmack delivered a well rounded, seventeen song set. The setlist consisted of both old, new, and covers, leaving fans delighted by the Vegas stop of the When Legends Rise Tour.
