Australia’s The Church is currently on tour in support of their newest album The Hypnogogue. The tour kicked off in September at the legendary Neptune Theatre in Seattle, WA, but on October 5th, Las Vegas’ Brooklyn Bowl stage was graced with an incredible set by the band.
While most people remember the 1988 tune “Under the Milky Way”, the venue was filled with true fans of the band.
The lights were low as they hit the stage, but the spirits were high when the band broke into “Ascendence”. Vocalist/bassist and original member Steve Kilbey’s baritone voice rang out through Brooklyn Bowl’s walls as the crowd sang along with every word. He stopped between songs to speak softly to the crowd about the new record, thank them for coming out, and to tell small stories about some of the songs the band played.
Not a single band member missed a bit, and it was obvious that they were truly happy to be there.
