January 31, 2025 – What an amazing night! I had the chance to catch Silverstein on their “25 Years of Noise” tour at the House of Blues in Anaheim, and it was so much fun to catch them live again as I hoped it would be. From start to finish, the energy was through the roof, and the band really knows how to put on a show that fans won’t forget.
The Vibe:
Walking into the House of Blues, I was struck by the mix of fans—some were rocking vintage tees from albums I remember jamming to in high school, while others were clearly new to the Silverstein experience. The excitement in the air was palpable as we all eagerly awaited the band to take the stage. When the lights finally dimmed and their logo lit up, the crowd erupted—my heart was racing!
The Setlist:
The band kicked things off with “Skin & Bones,” and wow, what a way to start! The energy was immediately infectious. One of my highlights was “Confession,” a song that always gives me chills. The way everyone sang along was just incredible—there’s something about Silverstein’s music that makes it feel so personal, yet so universal.
They made sure to mix in a lot of old favorites, like “Massachusetts” and “Smile in Your Sleep,” which had everyone yelling the lyrics at the top of our lungs. Hearing gems like “Your Sword Versus My Dagger” and “Call It Karma” really took me back—they still hit just as hard as they did back in the day.
The Performance:
Shane Told was a powerhouse on stage, as always. He connected with the crowd so effortlessly and shared some heartfelt stories about their journey over the past 25 years. It felt genuine, and you could tell how much he appreciates the fans. The rest of the band was equally impressive, with Paul and Josh showcasing their incredible guitar skills. I was honestly blown away by the tightness of their performance—it felt like they were feeding off the crowd’s energy.
When they played “The End” with Lights, it was an unexpected treat! The collaboration added an extra layer of excitement to the evening. And then to wrap it all up, we had an acoustic version of “My Heroine” for the encore. The room went silent as everyone soaked in the moment; it was beautifully done and showed how versatile and emotionally charged their music can be.
Highlights:
Honestly, there were too many highlights to count, but I’d say “My Disaster” and “Bleeds No More” stood out. The entire crowd was a sea of hands and voices, and moments like these solidified why I love live music—it brings people together in a way that nothing else can.
Final Thoughts:
As the night came to a close, I was left feeling nostalgic and grateful. Silverstein has not only provided a soundtrack to so many of our lives, but they’ve also created a space where fans can come together and share in the love of music. Their “25 Years of Noise” tour isn’t just a celebration of their past; it’s a testament to their ongoing impact and connection with audiences.
If you have the chance to see Silverstein on this tour, do it! You won’t regret it. Here’s to many more years of noise and memories!
