The Tuscany Hotel/Casino’s Copa Room venue hosted its monthly ROCK N ROLL CHURCH (AKA ROCK N ROLL BRUNCH) event on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
It’s been nearly a year since Count’s Vamp’d closed down in Vegas, but the Tuscany’s Copa Room has continued to turn itself into one of the new hot spots for all things rock and roll in Sin City, in the wake of that venue closing. As always, my thanks to Mike, Brian, Grayson, Mitch, and everyone who has continued to keep rock alive in a big way in this city.
A monthly occurrence in Vegas in recent years has been ROCK N ROLL CHURCH (AKA ROCK N ROLL BRUNCH) which now occurs every last Sunday of the month at Tuscany’s Copa Room. This event features a live band with vocalist Andrew Freeman, bassist Barry Barnes, guitarist Christian Brady, and drummer Shon McKee. All of these musicians have worthy resumes in their own right, so getting to see them unite for nearly two hours to pay homage to their rock heroes, past and present alike, is always something special.
And it wouldn’t be a ROCK N ROLL BRUNCH without… well… brunch. The event serves up a surprisingly good (and affordable!) buffet for those who wish to come indulge in both rock and roll and an excellent meal. In a day and age where Vegas buffet prices (what few buffets are even left) are through the roof, what’s offered here is a breath of fresh air at a fraction of the cost… and it even comes with live entertainment!
I love rock and roll, and I’ll take any excuse I can to get out and enjoy watching Vegas’ finest do their thing on a live stage. From start to finish, the quartet on the stage always cranks out a wide variety of songs spanning several decades of rock. How many other places will you see both Mr. Big and Audioslave songs as part of the same set? Not to mention you can tell these guys are having fun the whole time they’re doing it and have a great chemistry with one another. The crowd was banging their heads the whole time… and laughing just as hard with some of the remarks made about Andrew Freeman’s jeans. It’s something you have to have been there to appreciate. From Mr. Freeman running into the audience mid-song to sing on top of one of the chairs at the table where I was sitting, to him handing over the vocals to Christian Brady at one point, there are plenty of good moments to be had at a ROCK N ROLL CHURCH gig. Not to mention the rhythm section of McKee and Barnes (how many bands is this guy in?) always satisfy. There are no egos here. Just good times, good rock, and good food. Who could ask for anything more?
If you live in or will be visiting Vegas on the last Sunday of the month and you’re a rock and roll fan, a ROCK N ROLL CHURCH gig is well worth your time, with the next one scheduled for Sunday, June 28 at 3:00 PM. Don’t miss it!
