Carlos Santana: Oneness Tour // Dallas, TX

August 22, 2026 – When it comes to smooth rock gods, Carlos Santana is at the top of that list. He does not have anything to prove when it comes to pure musical artistry. Under the bright lights at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX, Santana showed that music can last a lifetime.

Kicking off the evening was a kickass set from San Jose rock legends The Doobie Brothers. Playing a solid fifteen-song opening, weaving through their greatest hits and adding a few covers into the mix, The Doobie Brothers showcased their talents as one of the longest lasting rock bands still touring. The crowd helped send them off with a sing-along to their biggest tune, “Listen to the Music.”

With dimmed lights and incense floating through the air, the crowd kept that energy high for Santana. The grooves started instantly as Santana and his band took to the stage in style. There is just something about Carlos’ aura as well as each member of his band that is indescribable. Watching them feel the music and become one sound is an immersive experience. There was a palpable joy in the way they riffed off one another. Santana plays each instrument he holds as if it were a part of his own body, especially the guitar. The man shreds so effortlessly and vivaciously. One of the most exciting aspects of the show was witnessing Carlos’ wife, Cindy Blackman Santana, absolutely crushing on the drums; shit was proper slamming.

Santana and band floated through their hour and a half set with all his greatest tunes. Of course, the crowd lit up the most for “Maria Maria” and “Smooth.” Hearing those and “Black Magic Woman” were highlights of the evening. The Oneness Tour with The Doobie Brothers will wrap up in the next few days but Santana is not done this year, and our Vegas readers will love this. Carlos Santana will be doing a residency at House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV all through September
and November (excluding October) for “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live.”
