Can you imagine spending 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, for the last 4 years with the same guys you grew up with? No, me neither. But Mike, Geoff, Dan and Connor make it seem like the most natural thing in the world. Or, at least, in British Columbia.
Q. – What’s it like to be in a band together after knowing each other for such a long time?
A. – It’s pretty easy because we get along and we all kind of mesh together.
Q. – Do you ever have creative differences?
A. – Not really, no. We like to take the music seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
Q. – What do you like best about making music together?
A. – Of course we like doing shows but, the writing process is the most enjoyable part.
Q. – Who does the song writing?
A. – We all do. Dan usually comes in with a skeleton and each of us adds our own parts to it. Then we flesh out the tune together.
Q. – How would you describe your sound?
A. – Psychedelic, punk-inspired, atmospheric scrappiness.
Q. – Is that how your audience would describe the Peace sound?
A. – After a show people come up to us and say we sound like all kinds of different bands… Jonathan Richmond, Bauhaus, The Fall. We like that people take a lot from our shows. It’s because we’re not afraid to change up our sound.
Q. – How long did it take to put together your latest release, The World Is TooMuch With Us?
A. – This collection of songs took about a year to write. The recording process didn’t take nearly that long. We don’t like to agonize over it.
Q. – Who would open for you on your dream tour?
A. – Nick Cave, U2 and then us…

Editor’s Note: The band played an enthusiastic and well received set at the Double Down in Vegas last month The vocalist reminds us a bit of a Bowie-esque or Peter Murphy sort. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and well worth checking out! ZRock*R really likes what these guys are doing and think they will be a band to look out for! If you like bands like The Smiths, Joy Division, Bauhaus and the like, we are sure you will like them too! CHECK THEM OUT!
