Wendesday, April 17, 2019 – Backstage Bar & Billiards.

Las Vegas locals, Found in Fiction and Leaving Springfield opened up for MOANING, and disrupted the quiet Downtown Las Vegas venue on a Wednesday night!

Found in Fiction Gallery:

Twas a night of darkened rock music all around. And though the crowd was small, those in attendance carried some mighty energy. Wooping could be heard through each sets in support of the acts for the night.

Leaving Springfield Gallery:

MOANING are a 3 piece band made up of members Sean Solomon, Pascal Stevenson, and Andrew MacKelvie. They are a part of SUBPOP Records, which may or may not give you a general idea of what kind of music they are. (SUBPOP Records is home to artists such as Mudhoney and Iron & Wine.) If you’re into say, Joy Division or New Order, these guys could be right up your alley!

Once again, even though the crowd was small, it didn’t stop the guys in Moaning from giving any less than a stellar performance. (This can also be said for our local openers!) All the bands kept the energy just right- dark and moody. Swaying and gentle head swings could be seen at the various members of the crowd, which is always a good thing!

Lead photographer, art director, sometimes editor, and writer for ZrockR Magazine- I am a mother, wife, photographer and a metalhead. Las Vegas Native. I first picked up a camera at 12 years old and I have been carrying one around ever since. I have an incredibly deep connection and love for my Las Vegas local music scene, this is where I first fell in love with music photography and knew that this is what I wanted to be doing with my time here on this planet. I say I'm a metalhead but I really love all kinds of music, I just connect the most with metal. Concerts are my happy place, and the happiest you'll ever see me is at a show with my camera in hand!
