The Madman Ozzy tribute and Turbo Lover Judas Priest tribute played the Copa Room at the Tuscany Hotel/Casino Friday, August 14, 2026.

The Tuscany’s Copa Room remains a hot bed for all things classic hard rock and heavy metal! In the wake of Count’s Vamp’d closing, it remains one of the spots that has largely picked up the slack, continuing to offer the people what they want. Thanks as always to Brian, Mike, Grayson, and Mitch for continuing to deliver the goods to live music lovers in Sin City!

I can never get enough when it comes to classic heavy metal sounds, and I’m pleased to say that Las Vegas has no shortage of bands who continue to impress. On this evening, we got a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne in the form of the Madman Ozzy tribute, whom I’d never seen perform before, and Robert “Videobob” Moseley’s Turbo Lover Judas Priest tribute, who I’d seen a few times out at Vamp’d back in the day.

Kicking the evening off was the Madman Ozzy tribute band; this band is not to be confused with fellow Vegas Ozzy/Sabbath tribute act Children of the Grave, who have also played at Tuscany. Losing Ozzy last year was definitely one of the rock and metal world’s greatest tragedies, but I’m glad to see his music is alive and well in the form of this tribute act. While Children of the Grave mostly plays classic Ozzy-era Black Sabbath songs with a few solo numbers thrown in, Madman takes the opposite approach by focusing mainly on solo Ozzy songs, but tosses a few Sabbath tunes in. The setlist was one of the most impressive parts, even going as far forward in time as the 2007 hit, “I Don’t Wanna Stop.” Personally, I’d love it if these guys would add a fifth band member for keyboards/additional guitars/etc., but everything sounded fantastic. I’m eager to see what other Ozzy tunes they try their hands at in later shows!

The doors opened a bit later than expected for this gig, but that’s because Videobob went to the nines to be sure there was an ideal on-stage atmosphere for his renditions of Judas Priest tunes. That included small video screens of relevant video content and depictions of the classic “trident” logo the band uses. Clearly Turbo Lover doesn’t skimp when it comes to production!

One of the most impactful things you’ll notice at a Turbo Lover show is that Videobob loves portraying Rob Halford. Right down to having a variety of different costumes that suit the gig. This visual impact is one of the things you’ll walk away remembering if you see the band doing their thing. The musicians don’t skimp on quality either, with killer instrumentation and guitars from start to finish.

Turbo Lover always chooses a great setlist that balances Priest’s biggest hits with some deeper cuts as well, and this was a selection of tracks that certainly satisfied the audience of headbangers, myself included. And while the Tuscany may have tables and chairs, I won’t deny that I was up front rocking out for most of this gig.

Madman and Turbo Lover got Sin City rockers banging their heads on this Friday night at Tuscany, and fans got what they were long overdue for. If you’re into classic hard rock, heavy metal, or the music of Ozzy and/or Judas Priest, both bands are well worth your time.
