It was a great night of rock and roll with a ladies touch at Vamp’d here in Las Vegas. Female rock pioneers Cherie Currie and Brie Darling reminded the audience that after four decades in the business they can still deliver the goods.
The opening band, Mojave Sun, was a very pleasant surprise. A tight group with the amazing Mariah Elizabeth Baldwin at lead vocals. Her vocal range and boundless energy blended in well with their very talented guitarist Blake Sailer. Definitely a band to keep an eye on!

It was the first night of the tour to promote their new CD release Motivator. Besides amazing cuts from the CD, the ladies did not let down old school fans with Cherie Currie tapping into her Runaways past with “American Nights” and her trademark classic “Cherry Bomb”.

Brie Darling also belted out a few classic tunes from her days in the all-girl band Fanny.
