On April 12, 2025, the mighty MACHINE HEAD will be performing at the House of Blues, Las Vegas. This tour cycle is in support of their eleventh studio album titled Unatoned, which comes out in the middle of this North American tour, on April 25th via Nuclear Blast Records. This show features an absolutely STACKED lineup featuring Unearth, Lacuna Coil, and In Flames.
OPENERS:
Unearth: Excuse me while I try not to be super biased because Unearth is one of my all time favorite bands. It’s been quite some time since these Boston Fucking Metalheads have hit the City of Sin Unearth released The Wretched: The Ruinous back in 2023, and it is an absolute banger of a record. A definite must have in any metal or metalcore fan’s collection. These guys don’t ever disappoint, they always bring all the energy and intensity and you’d be seriously missing out if you didn’t get to this one early for them!
Lacuna Coil: Hailing from Italy, Lacuna Coil is a bit of a bucket list band for me. I’ve never seen them live, despite having an extensive 20 year relationship with their music. (Karmacode was pretty much background music to mine and my husband’s early years of dating when it was released.) Lacuna Coil released Sleepless Empire just last month, and this record really showcases all of the best elements that they have to offer, and has the big possibility of helping them reach heights that they should have reached 20 years ago with Karmacode. The band has only gotten better with age, and it’s way overdue that they get the recognition they deserve! This record is a must have in your collection, and you know damn well I won’t be missing them for anything!!
In Flames: We’ve had the absolute pleasure of covering In Flames a number of times through the years, and this is yet another one of those bands of which my interest goes way way back. But you may know them from being from one of the pioneering places for melodic death metal, Gothenburg, Sweden. These specific sounds from the genre are echoed through all the types of metal that have come after them. In Flames are always so fun to see live, and their catchy yet intense melodic brand will be sure to have you banging your head into the night!
Machine Head: Machine Head fits comfortably in my tastes for groove and thrash metal. Though I’ll admit that I have not kept up with the happenings over the last few years. As I mentioned above, Machine Head are releasing their new album in the middle of this tour, and if you haven’t taken a listen to the track Unbound, I highly suggest you get to that. A modern push on the traditional groove sound, and it sure got me sitting here headbanging! I can’t wait to see what these guys bring to the stage and how they incorporate the new record into their live show.
Machine Head’s current lineup consists of lead vocalist/guitars Robb Flynn, bassist Jared MacEachern, drummer Matt Alston and guitarist Reece Scruggs.
This one is definitely going to be one for the books, just about everyone I have spoken about this show to, and the lineup, have been excited beyond comprehension! So what are you waiting for? Click the link below and grab your tickets now!
