Day 3 of Punk Rock Bowling 2019 was certainly an epic day. The ZRockR Team were exhausted, sweaty, and hungover. I know I started out the day with a few PBRs and hung under the tent watching the bands with my friends.
All of us that were in attendance and have been covering it for the past few years are majorly bummed this year. Punk Rock Bowling is something we all look forward to.
For me, last year was the first time I was able to attend. I have been anxiously counting the days until Memorial Day 2020. We knew the inevitable would happen due to the COVID-19 virus. I still held out hope though. We all did.
I was stoked on the thought of shooting Circle Jerks and Madness, as well as seeing Anti-Flag again. A good chunk of the bands from 2020 have been confirmed for 2021. Hopefully those who cannot make it for 2021 can be there for 2022.
Since we can’t all be together right now, we figured some photos from Day 3 would help make everyone smile.

The bands that played the festival that day were ones I didn’t expect to ever see. Highlights for me personally were Dead Boys, The Undertones, Mystery Actions, locals Dirk Vermin & the Hostile Talent, and main stage headliners The Specials.
Mystery Actions.
The Radiator Rattlers.
Night Birds.
Faz Waltz.
Shame.
Ravagers.
The Undertones.
The Toasters.
The Stranglers.
Teenage Bottlerocket.
The Hives.
Dead Boys.
If you had told any of us that as The Specials played the last song of the festival, “You’re Wondering Now”, that we wouldn’t be standing on the grass at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in 2020, we never would’ve left.
The Specials.
On to 2021.
All of us on the ZRockR Team look forward to seeing everyone next year. We hope that we can jump in a pit or drink a beer with every single one of you. As soon as hotel rooms open up, we will be booking so we can make sure we are there to bring you the coverage of the pool parties, main festival, kick it and drink at the after shows, and drink some more at the Golden Nugget.
For information on what to expect for next year, tickets, lineup, hotels, etc. check out the festival’s website here.
In the meantime, stay tuned for our thoughts on the Punk Rock Bowling Locked In & Stripped Down sessions. See you in 2021!
